Dont think you are going to the fancier place up the street. This is more of a restaurant Diner. There are no long lines with promises of seating in an hour here. There is just a great breakfast cooked and served to you out of a kitchen by a server.
Good food and good service. My family had the pancakes one buttermilk one cornbread. The cornbread was exactly that cornbread. It was a little dense and hard to eat more than one. Not taking that away from them just hoping you avoid ordering two if you are gluten-free.
I had the Huevos Rancheros and really enjoyed it. I wish there was guacamole included and some additional salsa but there was plenty of flavors. The home fried potatoes are the show stealer. I dont know something about sliced potatoes that just feels home made. Tired of the obviously frozen shredded hashbrowns and this was a pleasant surprise.
Good coffee and plenty of refills. The servers keep an eye on every table and circle around keeping busy.
Looking to walk in and have a great breakfast? This is the place.

    Portland's Okayest Brunch
    ...
The staff are nice enough, but inefficient. The food quality is uneven (toast wasn't toasted, just warmed, potatoes were nearly burnt, biscuit was decent).

It's better than not eating, I suppose, but I won't come back on purpose with there being many other good options within a block's walk.

One of the great authentic portland places. The scones are the best in the city and the pesto eggs are amazing!!!

Great food, great service. Had the Huevos rancheros it was really good! It came out a little cold but wasn't too bad! The bacon was unreal! Perfectly crispy would definitely recommend that. The iced tea is some of the best I've ever had. One last thing this is 2nd place in the world I've ever had secret ardvark hot sauce it is SO GOOD. 4/5 because food was cold-ish

To me, the best tofu scramble in town. I don't eat eggs anymore because of an allergy and I miss scrambles. I have been going to Cup & Saucer off and on since probably the late 90's... Recently I have not been disappointed with my tofu garden scramble. The home fried potatoes are so good I don't even have to drench them in hot sauce, but if I want a little sauce they have my two favorites:  tapatio & cholula
My partners meal of choice: The veggie sandwich add bacon.
